William Willavize Dies In Princeton
Walnut - William Ancil Willavize, 71, of Walnut, passed away Wednesday morning in the Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton, after being a patient the past several days.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Ross Funeral Home, the Rev. Donald Whitehead of the first Christian Church officiating with burial in Walnut Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday (tonight) at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Walnut Township Memorial Library.
William Willavize was born March 4, 1897 in LaSalle County, the son of Grant and Arabelle Dawson Willavize. He moved with his parents to a farm north of Walnut in 1915. He married Hazel Dodd of Walnut in 1919 and has since lived in this vicinity.
He is survived by his widow, one son, Leon, and one daughter, Mrs. Dean (Delores) Ganschow, both of Walnut; seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Iva Liston on Winona.
