Services Monday For Adam Trout

Services were held at the Megrue Funeral Home Monday, Aug. 12, at 10:30 a.m., for Adam Trout, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Born at Stockham, Neb., Oct. 15, 1891, Mr. Trout was the son of Henry and Christina Troudt (sic). He came to Superior as a baby and this was his home for the rest of his life.

On Dec. 20, 1916, he was united in marriage to Alta V. Hofmeister, of Beverly, Ill. To this union, one son, Warren H. Trout, was born. A cousin of Mrs. Trout, Esther Means, was adopted at an early age.

Mr. Troudt was weather observer for the United State weather bureau for 14 years and received many commendations for the exactness of his work and his accurate records.

Survivors besides his wife and son and his mother, Mrs. Henry Troudt (sic), two brothers, Herman and Fred of Superior, three sisters, Lily Estep, Burr Oak, Kan., Hulda Stover of Kearney, Neb., and Eunice Groves of Superior, also two grandchildren, Gary and Lyndall Trout of Kansas City, Kan. His father, Henry Troudt (sic), preceded him in death one year ago.

Adam changed the spelling of his last name to Trout, all the others in Radonda's family are Troudt.
