Abel Andrew died in this city on Jan. 30. He was born in Glen, Montgomery County, N.Y., and would have been 70 years of age had he lived till the second day of the present month. He left the state of New York 22 years ago and has been a resident of this place from that time until his death. He united with the Presbyterian Church on March 16, 1873. His sister, Mrs. James DePuy and husband of Owasco, N.Y. were present during his last hours, but the only remaining sister, Mrs. Caty A. Hopkins of Dakota, was unable to attend the funeral. The oldest daughter, Mrs. G. W. Guffey and husband, DeKalb, Ill., were present. The other children, Lizzie, Effie and John are known in this city. He was the brother of Dr. Abel. ^ 2-3-1888
