My parents were housemovers and as Dad was very proud of thefact he had one of the oldest KCC tages in the state of Kansas.
They had moved alot of houses in a hundred mile radious of Stockton,Ks.
Even moving tanks for Procter and Gamble in Kansas City, Ks
No job seemed to big or too small for Bigge Truck Service to handle.
Mom worked as a woman in a mans world but when she told you something she meant it. And when it came to the "job" if she told the wire people to be there at a special time and they were not there she did not always wait- be it RR people or Electric companies or Telephone companies.
Mom was an only child having had a sister died in infancy- she is buried in Lanark cemetery. Her parents Thomas and Sadie Fry are buried in the Stockton Cemetery, Stockton, Ks.
When Mom wanted to be buried in the cemetery close to the family farm the state of kansas said that was not possible, due to the fact that their was an older cemetery just to the north of land my parents owned. She just annexed the land and started her own!

You never know how much you appreciate your parents until they are gone- her shoes would be hard for anyone to fill. But, we knew where we stood growing up and her word was law.
