Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Dolores M. Jaskowiak, age 80, of St. Joseph, will be
held at 12 Noon on Monday, March 1,2004, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Dolores died
Friday at St. Benedict Center in St. Cloud. Entombment will take place at Assumption Cemetery in St.Cloud.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Sunday (Today) and after 10 A.M. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Parish prayers will be held at 4 P.M. followed by St. Joseph's Senior Citizens at 1 4:30 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Dolores was born April 27,1923, in Chicago, ILL to Max and Anne (Sherry) Kolk. She graduated from Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago. She married Adam F. Jaskowiak on November 21, 1942, at St. Paschal's Catholic Church in Chicago. They moved to central Minnesota in 1961. She will be remembered mostly for her love of her husband and family, sharing with them her love of fishing,
hand made Christmas ornaments, needlework and pine needle basketry. She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Pine Lake and wintering with Adam in Arizona.
Surviving Dolores is her husband of 61 years Adam F. of St. Joseph; her children, Anne and her husband Norm Howard of Richmond, Adam M. and wife Jan of Sauk Rapids, Joanne "Cookie" and husband Jerry Welle of Brandon, Rick and wife Leanne of Bemidji, Jerome and wife Joyce Barott of Washbum, WI., and Mary and husband John Schramel of Hugo; her 12 grandchildren: Caryn, Michael, Christine, Nicole, Leah, Adam J., Jessica, Laura, Nicholas, Jonathan, Erick, and Angela; her seven great grandchildren; and her brother, Charles and wife Marion Kolk of Bartiett, ILL.
Preceding her in death are her parents; grandson, Mark Howard; and brother Fr. Raymond Kolk, SVD. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Jacob Wetterling Foundation.
