Genevieve M. Stander, 23, of Bedford, Massachusetts died on May 1, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Ms. Stander was born in Concord, Massachusetts on Nov. 8, 1985, the beloved daughter of James M. and Frances G. (Sullivan) Stander of Bedford.
A lifelong Bedford resident, Ms. Stander was a member of the Bedford High School, Class of 2004. During her high school years she was involved in softball, chorus, drama, the French Club and she enjoyed skiing with her family.
She was currently enrolled at Middlesex Community College in Bedford and Salem State College where she was a communications major.
Ms. Stander was a member of St. Michael Parish in Bedford.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving brother, Michael of Bedford; devoted grandmothers, Frances Sullivan and Elizabeth Stander, both of Bedford; aunts and uncles, James Sullivan, Ethel Waite, Doris Curtin, Martha Brooks, Richard, Paul, Peter, John and Mark Sullivan, of Bedford, Nancy Pierce of Concord, Timothy and Christopher Sullivan and Robert Stander of Chelmsford, Joan Lundren and Michael Sullivan of Groton, David and John Stander of Westford and Kathleen Donnelly of Georgia, and many cousins and friends.
Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Road, Bedford, Friday, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Interment will be in Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford.
