James David Abston, Sr. was born on 02 May 1920 in Alabama to Jason Thomas "Jase" Abston and Annie Elizabeth (Singley) Abston and died on 07 Oct 2003 in Waynesboro, Wayne County, Mississippi. He was 82 years old. James served the Army during World War II achieving the rank of technical sergeant. He married Velma Lucille Gibson. James and Velma had four children: three sons and one daughter.
