Yates, Lena R. Williams, age 86, of Middletown, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born April 23, 1923 in West Liberty, KY to Marion and Della (Baker) Ferguson. She was a homemaker and a member of Christian Assembly of God. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Manford Allen and Edward Bruce; 10 brothers and sisters. Lena is survived by her husband, Curtis R. Yates of 24 ½ years; daughter, Georgia A. (Bill) Bowling of Franklin; son, Gary (Nancy) Williams of Middletown; 6 grandchildren, Bill Bowling, Jr., Tracy (Craig) Neal; Kim (Mike) Miller, Melissa (Brent) Fraley, Lisa and Chris Ballard, Julie (Jer) Doliboa; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Internment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Greater Cincinnati Chapter, 644 Linn Street, Suite 106, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
