Carlos "Mongo" Garcia Jr., 40, of Bryan, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2009.
The viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, at Trevino-Smith Funeral Home with a 6 p.m. rosary.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mongo was born in Bryan to Carlos and Eleonor Garcia. He loved his family and enjoyed picking on his niece. Mongo was loved by his family and friends and will be missed by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Garcia Sr. and a brother, Daniel Garcia.
Survivors include his mother, Eleonor Garcia, of Bryan; sisters, Margaret Garcia and husband, Mauricio, of Houston and Benita Garcia, of Bryan; three nieces, one nephew; and numerous friends and extended family.
