Mrs. M. J. McIntosh, age 70, The Victim of Paralytic Stroke After Three Months.
Mrs. M. J. McIntosh, age 70 years, died at her home in the Cross Roads section of the county Saturday morning June 18. She had a stroke of paralysis three months ago and from this she never recovered.
Mrs. McIntosh was born in Tennessee December 27, 1861. She was the daughter of Emeline and William Thomas. She came to the Cross Roads section with her parents when she was 4 years old and has since made her home there. Her husband, F.B. McIntosh died November 5, 1910.
Mrs. McIntosh was beloved by many friends, who admired the sweetness of her character. She has been a devoted member of the Cross Roads Christian Church for forty-five years.
Surviving are six children and one brother. The children are Mrs. Minnie Wilkerson, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. Maudie Robinson, Mrs. Rachel Nixon, Mrs. Elizabeth White, all of Cross Roads, Mr. Lee McIntosh, Memphis, Tenn.; Mr. F.B. McIntosh, Jr., Cross Roads. and Mr. J.K. Thomas, Macedonia, is the surviving brother. Several grandchildren also mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held at the Cross Roads Christian Church Sunday afternoon at one o'clock. Burial was in Cross Roads Cemetery.
