Rev. W. H. Lake Dead;
Well-Known Evangelist
The Rev. William Henry Lake, a
well-known evangelist, died yester-
day at his home, 217 81st st., follow-
ing a brief illness of heart trouble.
He was born in Brooklyn and was
ordained to the Baptist ministry.
In his evangelistic work he had
traveled all over the country. He
was preparing to sail next March
for a trip to Palestine.
Mr. Lake is survived by his widow,
Mrs. Laura Spofford Wiltsie Lake
and three sons, Ainsworth S. Henry
R., and John W. Lake, The funeral
services will be held in Union
Presbyterian Church 60th st. and
Bay Ridge blvd., tomorrow night at
8 o'clock. Interment will be In the
Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
