Beulah Kate Howard Caudle, age 89, passed away, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 peacefully at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. She was affectionately known to family and friends as "Mambo."

Born in North Carolina, she lived much of her life in Knoxville, TN, close to her sisters and brother. She was a member of The South Knoxville Baptist Church." Ms. Beulah" moved to Chattanooga, TN to Elmcroft Assisted Living where she continued to be an ardent supporter of her beloved Tennessee Vols. She loved her home at Elmcroft Assisted Living and was honored by the staff and residents one year to be the "Queen of Elmcroft". "Ms. Beulah" was thrilled and humbled to be so honored by her many friends. Prior to retirement, she was employed at The St. Mary's Medical Center as the Head Cashier for over 30 years.

The family is especially grateful for Mrs. JoAnn Everett, Mrs. Jesse Jenkins, and Mrs. Rebecca Smith. They have been constant companions and faithfully dedicated to Ms. Beulah's well-being. The family is thankful for the superb medical care of Dr. David DeLorenza, Hospitalist @ Memorial Hospital, for Nephrologist, Dr. Joe Watlington, and the office personnel of Dr. Charles Ziegler. The family is appreciative of the many kindnesses of the Elmcroft Assisted Living in Chattanooga, TN and the Guardian Home Health.

"Ms. Beulah" was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard "Dick" Caudle, infant daughter Sue Ann Caudle, and sisters: Georgia Sinclair and Rose Ann Gregory.

Survived by daughter, Breezie Finley of Chattanooga, TN, grandson Frank Youmans of Chattanooga, TN, granddaughter, Alison Dunn of Nashville, TN, great grandchildren: Mary Adella Youmans, Kate Dorothy Youmans, Sara Dade Youmans; sisters: Mary Farmer, Trula Fortner, Ilene "Popie" Martin, Bertie Watson, Jenny Wolfenbarger; brother, John Howard.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2009 at The Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.

The family will then travel to Knoxville, TN on Friday, August 28, 2009 for visitation from 5-8pm at The Berry Funeral Home Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Knoxville, TN.

Graveside services and interment will be at The Woodlawn Cemetery in Knoxville, TN with The Rev. Charles Justice officiating at 11 am on Saturday, August, 29, 2009. Pallbearers will be Hobart Howard, Kenny Martin, Bert McDaniel, Dean Sellers, Mike Slagle, Bobby Wolfenbarger.

Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN.
