Son of Jerome Emmanuel ("Manuel") HERNANDEZ and of Marie Agathe ("Mary") de PORCUNA Hernandez (both of whose burials are as yet unknown) and husband of Marie Josephine DUTHIEL Hernandez (buried with him in the same cemetery), with whom he had seven children.

Minors Edw. Levy for Tutorship &c.

"I, Edward Levy, do solemnly swear, that I will well and truly discharge and perform all the duties incumbent on me as Natural Tutor to my minor children, to wit: Celina, Josephine, Jerome and Andilie [sic] Levy, to the best of my ability and according to law, SO HELP ME GOD.
Signed E. Levy."

"Sworn to and subscribed before me, this 29th day of November 1865, signed R. M. Kilpatrick, Clerk."

"I, Peter M. Hernandez, do solenly swear, that I will well and truly discharge and perform all the duties incumbent on me as Unter Tutor to the minor children of Edwd. Levy, to wit: Celina, Josephine, Jerome, and Andilie [sic] Levy, to the best of my ability and according to law, SO HELP ME GOD.
Signed Peter M. Hernandez."

"Sworn to and subscribed before me, this 29th day of November 1865, signed R. M. Kilpatrick, Clerk."

"To the Honorable, the Judge of the Ninth Judicial District of Louisiana, sitting in for the Parish of Rapides.

"The petition of Edward Levy, who resides in your Parish aforesaid, shows the Court that his wife Andalie [sic] Hernandez has died, leaving four children, the issue of their marriage, viz., Celina aged about sixteen years, Josephine aged ten years, Jerome aged seven, and Andalie [sic] aged five months."

"He prays the Court to be qualified as Tutor to these children, and also that an Under Tutor be appointed as the law provides.
