Former Resident Dies On Coast

Mrs. Hazel Parkinson Peterson Cranney, 81, former Idaho Falls Resident, died Sunday in an Oakland, Calif., hospital, according to word received here Monday.
She died of natural causes while visiting a daughter, Mrs. R. Less Kenner, a member of the presidency of the Oakland LDS Temple.
She resided in Idaho Falls for several years, moving from here to Logan, Utah in 1924.
Mrs. Cranney was assistant matron in the Logan LDS temple. She was also a matron in a girls residence ball at Utah State University at one time, and a house mother at the University of Utah.
Her first husband died in 1924 abd she subsequently was married to A. E. Cranney in 1931 at the Logan LDS temple.
Survivors include her son and three daughters, Mrs. Kenner of Oakland. Ottis Peterson, Bethesda, Md., former city and state editor of the Salt Lake Tribune newspapers; Mrs. Clair Medford, Eugene, Ore.; and Mrs. W. Doyle Cranney, Orem, Utah.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday noon at 260 E. South Temple at Salt Lake City, where friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

CRANNEY-Funeral services for Hazel Parkinson Peterson Cranney will be held Wednesday 12 noon in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple. Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday 6-8 p.m., Wednesday prior to services. Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Larkin Mortuary.
