George "David" Bellinger passed away Friday morning, May 22, 2009, in his home, with his wife at his side. He was preceded in death by his son, Chris. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Barker Bellinger; children, Gail and husband, Henry Teters, Mike and wife, Jeri Ann, Lynn and husband, Larry George, and Mary Kay and partner, Becky; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Paul and wife, Helen; and sister Faith and husband, Louis Combs. David was a member of the Springfield Rod & Gun Club for 30+ years. He enjoyed hunting and skeet shooting, going to auctions with his wife, spending time on the "best deck in the world", and collecting marbles. He loved telling stories and enjoyed a good joke or prank. David led by example the importance of helping one in need and the importance of simplicity. In honor of his request to keep his service "simple", there will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in St. Mary's Cemetery.
