Viola V. Clark, nee West, 79, Pacific, died Tuesday, December 25, 2001, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Kirkwood.

She was born December 21, 1922, at Freeburg, the daughter of Newman West and wife Tracy, nee McCallister.

She received her education at the Pacific public schools.

On July 9, 1937, she was united in marriage to Woodrow Clark at Pacific.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Woodrow Clark on October 2, 1999; two brothers,
Richard West and Joe West; and four sisters, Violet Cowsert, Emma Wooley, Minnie Workman, and Bertha Stockton.

She is survived by two sons, Vernon Clark and wife Norma, and Wayne Clark and wife Eileen, Pacific; one daughter,
Joan Ritchey and husband Bob, Pacific; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives
and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 29, at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific, with Rev. James
Cowsert officiating

Interment was in Sunset Cemetery, Pacific.

The Clark family was served by Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific.
