Martha Eleanor was called Mattie. She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Mary [Doom] Martin. She was born 22 July 1855 in Lyon County KY. She married William Henry Williams [6 1843 - 12 1889]. They were the parents of Noble K Williams[1873 - 1952], Roxanna Davis Williams[1875- 1968] and my Grandmother, Lottie Williams[1876 - 1955]. After Wm Henry's death, Mattie married John P Reed [Oct 1842-Dec 1916].. After the tragic death of her daughter in law, Mattie and Mr. Reed raised Noble's 2 daughters Edna & Marie. For whatever her reasoning was, She refused to also raise her grandson and he was sent to his mothers family and they raised him as their child. They were already raising my Grandmother and Mr Tinsley's daughter Mary who was handicaped. At some point Mr Reed's daughter Stella lived with them.
