Edna Lucille Rather, 79, passed away May 4, 2000 at Sherman, Texas. She was born May 23, 1920 at Pitts, Arkansas.
Services were held May 8th at Atoka Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Johnson and Rev. Robert Umstead officiating.
Burial was a Caney Cemetery in Caney, Okla. under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband James Herman Rather of the home, two sons James Clifford and wife Patricia of Bentley, Okla. Arthur Donald Adams and wife Brenda of Talihina, Okla. Two daughters Geri Tillman and husband Wilbur of Galena, Mo.,Virginia Verni and husband Tony of San Jose, Ca. One step-son James E. Rather and wife Deborah of Waxahachie, Texas. Brother: Clyde Dawson and wife Ann of Grubbs, Ark. Sisters: Imogene and husband Don Wynn of Seattle, Washington. Nell Terrel of Anna, Texas.
Preceded in death by, Mother:Ollie Brothers-Dawson, Father:Harry Dawson, Brothers:Buck, J.D.,Ben,Dock, and Clifford Dawson. Sisters: Mabell Harper, Mary Morgan and Mildred Dawson.
