Sgt Aiken was Killed in Action during the Korean War.

He was a tailgunner on a B-26B Invader Bomber assigned to the 729th Bomb Squadron, 452nd Bomber Wing. During a night mission over the Sunchon Air Base in N. Korea his bomber was shot down by anti-aircraft fire. When his plane crashed it was reported as burning. His body was not recovered.
