PIERZ – Ruth Emma Kriefall, 80, died Friday at St. Mary's Villa.
The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Dixville. The Rev. John Ramsbacher will officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends my call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz, and an hour prior to services, Monday at the church. There will be a 7 p.m. prayer service Sunday at the funeral chapel in Pierz.
Ruth Emma Kriefall was born Jan. 25, 1917, in Buckman Township, Morrison County, to Leo and Helen (Krause) Kuschel. She married Alvin "Jim" Kriefall Aug. 31, 1937, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Dixville. They farmed in Buckman Township. After her husband's death in 1973, she moved to Royalton. She worked as a housekeeper and cook at Bea's Café in Royalton. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Dixville.
Survivors include her son, Marvin, Sauk Rapids; daughters, Marjory Guck, Royalton; Marlene Bragelman, Sauk Rapids; sister, Esther Sauer, Royalton; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband (Jan. 15, 1973); brother, Richard; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Scott and Kurt Kriefall, Everette and Brian Bragelman, James, Steven and Gregory Guck.
