Edwin P. DeLong, 82, of 815 Faith Drive, Catasauqua, died Sunday in Allentown Hospital. He was the husband of the late Ella (Klingaman) DeLong. DeLong was a farmer and truck driver for the former A. B. Kirby and Sons, Allentown, for 20 years before retiring in 1962. Born in Ballietsville, he was a son of the late Paul and Emma Jane (Falk) DeLong. Surviving are three daughters, Arline, wife of Arthur Schleicher of North Catasauqua; Pauline, wife of James Herzog, of Lancaster; and Lillian, wife of Rowland Unangst, with whom he resided; a brother Clarence, of Allentown; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Thomas A. Burkholder Funeral Home, 3rd and Walnut streets, Catasauqua.
