Rudolph "Rudy" Ernest Nash Sr., 67, of New Bern, died Sunday, April 2, 2006.

Rudy worked for 35 years with the Federal Aviation Administration at Leesburg and Baltimore-Washington International airports and the Potomac Center. He worked for 4 years as an independent contractor prior to his retirement in 2003.

Rudy is preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Carter and Shirley Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Nash of the home; three sons, Rudy E. Nash Jr. and his wife, Shawna, of New Bern, David M. Nash of Glenburnie, MD, and Daniel M. Nash and his wife, Mayra, of Houston, TX; two daughters, Barbara T. Totis and her husband, Tim, of Woodbine, MD, and Tonya Zotter and her husband, Tim, of Odentown, MD. He is also survived by one sister, Rosemary Sterling of Crownsville, MD, and six grandchildren, Chris, Vincent, Nick, Julia, Jacob and Joshua.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Cotten Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Ernest Ruede officiating, followed by burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Obituary:

Dorothy Mae Nash of Woodbine, Maryland died on January 4, 2016 in Columbia, Maryland following a long battle with pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Dorothy was a native of Annapolis, Maryland and a graduate of Annapolis High School. She was the daughter of Carl and Cecilia Alton.

She married the late Rudolph Nash, Sr. in 1960. They raised a family of not just their own five children, but she was a second mother to her younger siblings and many other family friends.

Dorothy worked as a fiscal clerk for the State of Maryland for over 20 years. She was known as an avid reader, she enjoyed tennis and making ceramics, but Dorothy especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her children Rudolph (Shawna) Nash Jr., David Nash, Daniel Nash, Barbara (Timothy)Totis, and Tonya (Timothy) Zotter. Her grandchildren include Christopher, Vincent, Nicholas, Julia, Jacob, Joshua, and Jeremy, as well as two great-grandchildren Addison and Connor. She is also survived by her siblings Jimmy, Teresa, Janet, Joe, Richard, Myrtle, and Denise.

Friends and family may call at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Inc. 147 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Thursday January 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday January 8 at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 620 N. Bestgate Rd, Annapolis, MD.

Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in New Bern, NC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association www.phassociation.org .
