Clarksville, Tennessee[ Captain Ryan Michael Anderson, USA, 34 of Clarksvile, Tennessee, died Thursday August 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 11, 1975 in Biloxi, Mississippi, son of Michael R. Anderson and Donna McCarthy.

Captain Anderson was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraq Freedom. In addition to his parents he is survived by brothers, Jesse McCarthy of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Michael R. Anderson of Nashville, Tennessee; step-father, Larry McCarthy; grandfather, Jesse Roger Anderson; grandmothers, Garnet Mae Bailey and Norma Bradshaw; a niece and nephew; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jody and Norma Hugon; grandfathers, Floyd Bailey and Dick Bradshaw.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in Millersport Cemetery, Millersport, Ohio with Rev. Brian Vinson of Millersport United Methodist Church officiating. The U. S. Army detail and Millersport American Legion Post will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, Ohio 53105.
