Born in Norwood, Mo., the 70-year Tulare resident died Friday.
She married Howard Simmons in Nevada in 1945.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Failene Shelton of Tulare; two sons, Monte and Mackey Simmons, both of Tulare; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
