Wilbur Eugene Larason, 89, Mercer, MO passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at a Trenton, MO hospital.
He was born on June 4, 1929 in Lindley Township of Mercer County, Missouri the son of Lloyd Claire and Avis Mae (Hagan) Larason.
Wilbur graduated from Princeton High School in 1947 and was drafted into the military during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1953. On April 2, 1955 he married Lena Ruth Laughlin. They bought a farm and lived in Lindley Township all these years.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and Ragan Hickman American Legion Post #477. He served on many boards including Board of Directors FHA, MFA Exchange and MFA Oil, Mercer County Extensions, Mercer School Board, 13 years for Grundy Electric and Northwest Electric, and Lindley Township Directors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kenneth Larason.
Wilbur is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Ruth Larason, of the home; daughter, Donna (Chris) Lutzen; grandchildren, Nikki Jackson (Sam), Jeff Lutzen (Tawny Saunders); great grandchildren, Lillian Lutzen and Reese Jackson and sister, Illia Mae Howerton (John).
