Mary E. Duke died on 21 Jun 1903 in Breckenridge Twp., Caldwell, Missouri. She was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, Missouri.

Parents: Basil C. DUKE and Lemira MITCHELL.

Spouse: Samuel Church SCOTT. Samuel Church SCOTT and Mary E. Duke were married on 23 Oct 1855 in Mason Co., Kentucky. Samuel and Mary moved to Breckenridge Twp., Caldwell Co., Missouri, in 1856.

Children were: Elizabeth Bell SCOTT, Sarah Whitsett "Sallie" SCOTT, Annie W. SCOTT, Mary SCOTT, Alexander D. SCOTT, Walter H. SCOTT, Basil D. SCOTT, Carrie D. SCOTT, John P. SCOTT, Myra D. SCOTT.
