Eleventh child, fifth son of Ira Curtis Sheline and Anna Dell Snyder Sheline. He graduated from Jackson High School, Jackson county, Ohio in 1947. Rodney was an Ohio State Highway Patrolman for many years and later an insurance investigator/agent. He was married to Nora Martyne White on 12 March 1949. They had a son, Rodney Steven Sheline. Ashes of Rodney Richard are interred with those of his sister and brother-in-law, Julia Maxine and Samuel Edward McCabe.
