MOORESBORO — Mrs. Hazeline Brewer Black, 90, of 3416 Griffin Road, died Friday,
Jan. 11, 2008, at Crawley Memorial Hospital in Boiling Springs.

A native of Lincoln County, she retired from Shelby Mills after 28 years of
service. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred Houston Black of the home; daughter
Phyllis Bivins and husband, Steve, of Mooresboro; brothers Bill Brewer of
Dallas, Ben Brewer and wife, Lynn, of Dallas, Adrian Brewer and wife, LaFay, of
Lincolnton and Jack Brewer and wife, Nancy, of Shelby; sisters, Addie Ballard
and Virginia Paysour, both of Dallas, Mary Weathers of Shelby, Molly Spivy of
Lowell and Betty Woody and husband, Junior, of Dallas; granddaughters Denise
McKee and husband, Richard, and Christy Bivins; and great-grandson, Brian
McGill, all of Mooresboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ellis Brewer and Ellen Victoria
Auton Brewer; brothers, J.D. and Paul Brewer; and sisters, Lula Summy and Bryte
Hurst.

Funeral: Today at 2:30 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before
the service and at other times at the home.

Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park
