Born in South Dakota to Mr. and Mrs William J. Guindon, Wayne William farmed until he answered the call of his country in WW II when he enlisted in the US Navy on 12 Aug 1942. Honorably discharged on 29 March 1945, he was united in marriage at Van Couver, Washington to Delores K. Thome on 24 July, 1946. Four children were born to this union: an infant son who predeceased his father; Johnnie Jo(Skip)Guindon who served in the US Navy; Mrs. Candie Sue Guindon Bathke, Mrs. Evan (Pennie) Ann Guindon Edinger of Plankinton, and five grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Robert, of Portland Oregon; a half brother, Clifford Guindon, King of Prussia,Pa; one sister, Mrs. Lorraine Peschka, Forest Grove, Oregon, and five half sisters, Veda Onderstal, Dixon, Nebraska; Ada Wulf, Rapid City; Fern Wulf, Chasta, Minnesota; Gladys Erdahl, Bristol; and Johna Vissia of Planinton. He was preceded in death by two brothers
