LEWIS CHAMP ASH, 79, died Thursday at his home in Quail Valley. Born in Albany, Texas, Mr. Ash lived in Quail Valley two years. He was an aircraft inspector for McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach for 35 years.
During World War II, Mr. Ash served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by a son, Ronald of Texas; four daughters, Becky Cobb, Norma Tolewitzke and Mary Faulkner, all of Quail Valley, and Flo Wolfrum of Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. Miller-Jones Mortuary in Sun City is handling arrangements.
