June M. Acheson, 74, Grand Rapids, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth. She was born July 19, 1923, at Duluth, the daughter of Roscoe and Livia Passard. She was raised in Duluth and attended Duluth schools. She moved to Grand Rapids for her senior year, graduating from Grand Rapids High School in 1941.

She attended Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis and then started work for Murphy law firm in Grand Rapids. She also worked for Howard W. Anderson law firm and the North Central Agriculture School in Grand Rapids.

She married Robert G. Acheson in Grand Rapids in 1950. She worked as a volunteer for the local blood bank for 10 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, St. Jean's Circle and the Grand Rapids Bowling Association.

She is survived by her husband; sons Robert J., Spokane, Wash.; Jeffrey P., Tempe, Ariz.; John D., Grand Rapids; and William B., Edina; daughters Janet Gragg, Faribault; Jean Anderson, Grand Rapids; and Mary Beth Sayre, Bloomington; brother Andy Passard, Grand Rapids; sister Eileen Shustaich, Virginia; and five grandchildren.

Funeral: Wednesday, April 1, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, with the Rev. Thomas Radaich officiating. Memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association and Alzheimer's treatment and research. Burial: Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Arrangements are by Libbey Funeral Home, Grand Rapids.
