Funeral services for John K. Holm, 63, Cohasset Sugar Lake area, will be Friday, Feb. 12, 1982, at 2 p.m. at Community Presbyterian Church, Grand Rapids. Rev. Richard Massaro will officiate and burial will be in the Itasca Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 11, at the Libbey Funeral Home, Grand Rapids.
He was born May 3, 1919, at Warren, Minn., and died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1982, at St. Mary's Hospital, Duluth. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1937 and Itasca Junior College in 1939. He served in the US Army Air Force during World War II and was co-owner of the East End Grocery in Grand Rapids for many years. He married Sibyl Ball Feb. 13, 1943, and was a member of Community Presbyterian Church and the Blandin Paper Company Quarter Century Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sibyl; one son, John L., Cohasset; one daughter, Mrs. David (Sharon) Leinonen, Buffalo, Minn.; two brothers, Russell E., Grand Rapids, and Gordon, Minnetonka, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Richard E. (Eunice) Sackett, Grand Rapids; and seven grandchildren.
