Ella June (Shaver) Gary of Coldwater, Age 89, died Dec 29, 2010 in Zephyrhills, FL Hospital. While living with her sister Eleanor for the winter in Dade City Fla. She was born on June 16, 1921 to George and Cecile Shaver (Cheeseman) in Maple Grove, Mich. She moved to Battle Creek - Brownlee Park area as a child. Ella attended Southeastern School district. She married her first and only love Albert N. Gary on Aug 5, 1939. They had 2 sons, Dennis and Dean. She worked at Michigan Carton in the 1940's, and then Kellogg Co., then she went to work for Harper Creek School (Jr. High and Wattle Park Elem) for 24yrs. as a cook (1958 to 1982) She and Albert volunteered on the Emmett Twp. Fire Dept. She as the dispatcher in the 1950's. They lived on Greg Dr., and then they moved to Coldwater, on North Lake in 1972. She is survived by 1 son Dennis (Nancy Wank), Hickory Corners, their children Steven (Emily) Gary and Paul C. Gary. Dean's children, Jennelle Gary-Martin, Chad Gary. 9 Great Grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter. Sister, Eleanor (Shaver-Morrison) Collyer of Dade City Fla. A lot of niece's and nephew's that she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert June 1, 1974, son Dean Jan 23, 1991, both of her parents and brothers, Elmer Shaver (Edna) of Coldwater, Ervin Shaver (Nona) of Sears, Mich., Ervin Shaver (Evelyn) of Battle Creek. Sister, Eva Collyer (Harold) of Union City. Ella cared for her mother until she died July 1, 1997 at the age of 101. She also sit and plays for hours with her great grand son Charlie (2 1/2) on the floor for hours. He will miss her dearly. There will be a memorial service on May 7, 2011 at Riverside Cemetery in Union City, Mich. At 12:00p.m.
