Ebba Nelson was born October 16, 1903, in the Komstad Community. She married Oliver Washburn September 21, 1927 in Sioux Falls. They farmed in the Vermillion-Meckling area for 40 years. In 1964, they moved into Vermillion, where she was employed as a custodian at United National Bank until 1973. Mrs. Washburn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the ALCW and Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by three brothers: Eskol, Tempe, AZ; Elden, Beresford; and Elmer, Sioux Falls.
Services were held Saturday, April 18 in Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial was in Bluff View Cemetery.
