She owned two cats; Antoinette, a long-haired white Persian, and her grey-brown son, Homer.
She enjoyed gardening, and had an impressive collection of irises, that bloomed each spring. She enjoyed reading and would sit with a book for hours on end.
She passed away on December 15, 1974 in Rio Linda, ad was buried beside Alfred in the Odd Fellows Lawn Cemetery.
