Born October 13, 1911, Salt Lake City, a son of Walter M. and Sarah Potts Arnold. Married Marietta Smith, January 17, 1938, Salt Lake Temple, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Explorer leader, Granger 8th Ward. Served Oquirrh Stake and South Salt Lake Stake missions.
Survivors: widow; sons, daughter, Marvin D., Kirk J., both Granger; Ellis L., serving LDS Central Atlantic States Mission; Mrs. Edward (Annette) Booms, Salt Lake City; two grandchildren; brothers, sister, Walter M., Lester J., Mrs. Lawrence (Cynthia) Urry, all Salt Lake City.
Funeral Wednesday, 1 p.m., Granger 8th Ward chapel, 3270 West 3650 South. Friends call 4330 South Redwood Road, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday at the ward chapel one hour before the services. Burial, Valley View Memorial Park. (Published in the Deseret News, Monday, March 11, 1968, page 6B.)
