Barbara Drake Nelon, 61, of Hendersonville passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, in Pardee Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Harley Drake and Anna Nelson Drake.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Eugene Nelon; a daughter, Melissa Hudgins of Trenton; eight brothers, Tommy Drake of Winston-Salem, Gene Drake of Fletcher, Harold Drake of Penrose and Elmer Drake, Raymond Drake, Larry Drake, Gary Drake and Allan Drake of Hendersonville; five sisters, Juanita Inman, Joann Justice, Mary Lee Gordon, Brenda Drake and Karen Fowler of Hendersonville; four grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Memories at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Revs. O.D. Rhodes and Gene Drake will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Jackson Funeral Service, and at other times will be at the residence.
