REABURN LIOLA BRADFORD

A Lawrence County native, Reaburn Liola Bradford, 77, of Arley died January 1990, at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham after a battle with cancer.

The funeral was held at Nesmith Methodist Church, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Higdon Funeral Home directed the burial.

Mr. Bradford was a Lawrence County resident for 22 years. He moved to Winston County in 1936, where he worked at a sawmill for 10 cents an hour. He was a farmer for several years before moving to Birmingham where he became employed by Ryder Truck Lines. Mr. Bradford was with Ryder for 17 years and became disable to work in 1970. He and his wife, Myrl, moved back to Winston County after he became disable.

Mr. Bradford enjoyed going to church and gospel singings.

He is survived by his wife, Myrl V. Bradford; one sister, Alta Richard of Decatur; three brothers, Elee and Arbon Bradford of Hatton and Vernon Bradford of Arab.
