Rollin Rutherford Peter, age 88, formerly of Adell, WI, passed away late Thursday evening, September 3 at the Beechwood Rest Home in Beechwood, WI.
He was born on July 24, 1921 in the Town of Scott, Wisconsin, a son of the late Rutherford and Erma Saueressig Peter.
On June 19, 1948, he married Marjorie Melius at Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia.Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marjorie of Adell; his children, Kathryn Tykac of West Bend, WI, Dwight "Ike" Peter (his wife, Pam) of Cascade, WI; 3 grandchildren, Sara (Jason) Schmidt of Wayne Center, WI, Stacy Gildersleeve of West Bend, WI, Amanda (Rob) DeVerney of Town of Scott, WI; 2 great-grandchildren, Emerson E. Schmidt and Gabriel I. DeVerney; 2 brothers-in-law, George Maechtle of Waubeka, WI, Russell (Merley) Melius of the Town of Scott; 5 sisters-in-law, Hazel Nussbaumer of Plymouth, Dottie Reinhardt of Plymouth, Delphine Hartmann of Fredonia, Audrey Clyatt of Jeffersonville, IN, LaMae (Walt) Hetzel of Beaumont, CA.
