Our kind and loving mother, grandmother and sister, Luva Forsyth Hiskey Brinkerhoff, age 93, of Teasdale, died June 6, 1993 at the home of her daughter in Torrey, of a heart attack.
She was born March 21, 1900, in Teasdale, Utah, a daughter of James Arzy and Ellen LaRina Cook Forsyth. She married Joseph Benjamin Hiskey November 21, 1918, in Loa, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple February of 1928. He died December 12, 1956. She married Ernest Brinkerhoff October 28, 1969 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died March 11, 1984. After her marriage to Mr. Brinkerhoff, she moved to Montana. They served two LDS Missions, one to the Montana-Wyoming Mission and another to the Arizona-New Mexico Mission. They lived in Provo and in 1986, she returned to Teasdale, to be closer to her family. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Relief Society secretary; in the Stake Relief Society and Sunday School. She will be missed by all.
Survived by her children, Rena Bell and Albert M. Davis, Pullman, Washington; Boyd and Vera Hiskey, Teasdale, Utah; Joan H. Jensen, Torrey, Utah; Harold Harrison and Mona Hiskey, Cedar City; Michael Kent and Mary Ann Hiskey, Payson; 20 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; sister, Berdella Huntsman, Anchorage, Alaska; Stina Cloward, Provo; brother, Joseph B. Allen, Orem; stepson, Kyle Brinkerhoff, Stevensville, Montana; 12 step-grandchildren and 29 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Austin Hiskey.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 10, 1993 at 1 p.m. in the Teasdale LDS Ward Cultural Hall. Friends may call for viewing at the church in Teasdale Thursday morning from 11 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Teasdale Cemetery under the direction of the Springer/Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina.
