Carl J. Brandt, 56, farmer, Council Bluffs Route 1, Lewis Township, died of heart disease at a local hospital at 3:30 pm, Sunday. Brandt had lived all his life in the area.
Surviving him is his widow, Mrs. Helen Brandt; one daughter, May Brandt; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Brandt of Council Bluffs; two brothers, John Brandt and Albert Brandt, both of Council Bluffs; and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Bostedt and Mrs. Marvin Vanderveer, also of Council Bluffs. The body is at the Cutler Funeral Home.
