Jennie Elizabeth (Davidson) Suhr


Jennie Elizabeth Suhr, 76, formerly of Berlin Heights, died Monday in Norwalk's Twilight Geriatric Center after a one-year illness.
Born in Lorain County, she had lived in the Berlin Heights-Norwalk areas most of her life.
Mrs. Suhr was a former telephone operator with General Telephone Co. of Ohio for a number of years. She was also a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church of Berlin Heights, she was a member and past worthy matron (1965) of Halcyon Chapter No. 347 O.E.S. of Collins where she had also held several other offices. She was also a member of the Willing Workers Farm Women's Club and the Senior Center of Berlin Heights.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. E. (Mary) Stover of North Fairfield, and Mrs. Russell (Lois) Liebhart of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Maurice Davidson of Wellington, and Charles Davidson of Elyria; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer G. Fenner; by her second husband, Karl W. Suhr; and three sisters, Mrs. Maxine Steele, Mrs. Vera Spuhler, and Thelma Davidson.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kubach-Smith Funeral Home, Norwalk, where Halcyon Chapter No. 347 O.E.S. will conduct memorial services at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Don Lautzenheiser, pastor of Lakeview United Methodist Church of Berlin Heights, officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation, P.O. Box 22319, Cleveland, or the donor's favorite charity.
