Iva Baird, 85, a long-time Cashmere resident, passed away in a Wenatchee hospital Monday morning.

Mrs. Baird was born April 17, 1891 in Oberlin, Kansas and was united in marriage to Jay O. Baird on June 24, 1915 in Beloit, Kansas.

They came to Wenatchee in 1944 and then to Cashmere in 1947. He passed away in 1966.

Mrs. Baird was a member of the Cashmere Baptist Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Lucille Voyles of Osage, Iowa, Mary Kimberling of Moiarty, New Mexico, Ruth Ortiz-Torres of Peshastin, and Faith Huber of Portland, Baird Oregon; four sons, Hale Barid of Burns, Oregon, and Jay, Robert and Dick Baird, all of Cashmere; 27 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one sister, Nora McIntyre of St. Helena, California.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning with the Reverend James Merlin officiating. Earl Barnes acted as organist.

Burial took place in the Peshastin Cemetery with the following pall bearers: Jay Baird, Dick Baird, Hale Baird, Robert Baird, Earl Barnes and Manuel Ortiz-Torres.

Braun Funeral Home of Cashmere was in charge of arrangements.
