PADDISON W.J.
There died, after a short illness at his home on Codrington St. on Saturday March 26, 1927. William James Paddison,aged 67 years, 11 months.
Mr. Paddison was born near Orangville,Ontario, but moved in 1867 to Torosontio with his parents. The family, being among the pioneers of that district.
In his younger life, he worked with the Yale Milling Co., then, later, when the Hamilton North Western Railway came through, he located at Lisle,where he learned the carpenter business from his father.He followed that trade for more years, building, wagons, buggies, and sleighs.
About 1903, he started to work with the GTR . In 1911, he moved to barrie, taking up residence on Brock St. He had lived on Codrington St. for about a year. In later years, he did considerable market gardening. He was stricken with Pneumonia on Monday of last week, and died on Saturday.
Mr Paddison was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his Wife, 3 sons, Harvey and Bert of
Winnipeg, and Oscar of Creemore; (William who married Elsie Mayatt) 3 daughters Mrs. H.A. Jarvis, of Barrie, Mrs. Milton Hickling, of Crown Hill and Mrs. L. Dagenais, of Detroit; 3 brothers. Albert and W.D., of Barrie, and Seth, of Quelph, and a sister Mrs. S.A. Lambert, of Barrie.
The funeral took place on Tuesday to Barrie Union Cemetary, conducted by the Rev.E.J.Wahn.
