Norma Jean Bourne (Kidwell), 66, Blue Springs, passed away Mon., Sept. 7, 2009 at her favorite place (Pomme De Terre Lake). She was born July 25, 1943 in Independence to Ralph and Mildred Kidwell. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1961 and went on to Beauty College. She worked for over 45 years as a beautician. She loved life and her family was everything to her. She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kevin Kidwell. She is survived by Alfred P. Bourne, Jr., her husband of 44 years; daughter Carrie McCartney (Mike); daughter Renee Jensen (James); son Darin Bourne (Erin); grandchildren Mitchell, Danielle, Megan, Sabrina, Sydney, Daryn and Taylor; three brothers and a sister, their spouses, nieces, nephews. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 10, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, Blue Springs. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 11, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution in her name to the American Heart Association or Hope House.
