Logan. Lucius S. Logan died yesterday morning at fifteen minutes past eight o'clock, of Bright's disease, at the home of Mrs. Emma Downton, where he and his family have been boarding for some time.
The funeral was conducted at the residence this afternoon at half past two o'clock, by Dr. E. M.Green, followed by burial in Bellevue Cemetery.
Mr. Logan's death, while a great shock to his many friends and relatives, was not unexpected. Months ago he became a victim of rheumatism and it became complicated with the malady which was the immediate cause of his death. All that medical aid could do failed to give him promise of recovery and a few weeks ago he took to his bed, his physicians unable to give his loved.ones much hope. The past few days his decline was rapid.
Mr. Logan was a son of the late John F. Logan and was thirty-five years of age. He leaves a widow, who was Miss Anne Croxton, daughter of Gen. John T. Croxton, and also a little girl, Caroline.
Mr. Logan was a member of the First Presby terian church. During his last illness he told them around him that he was at peace with his Maker and to His gentle mercies consigned the bereaved wife and daughter. May they, and also the others who mourn the sad departure of one not yet in the prime of manhood, find that consolation which earth can not give but which is ever fonnd in an unfaltering faith in Him who said: "Whosoever liveth and believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."
~~
Married Annie Barres Deugerra Croxton on 30 Oct 1889 in Bourbon County, Kentucky, USA, after Lucius' death in 1900, she married John E Bean 1858-1918 in Boyle County, Kentucky on 25 June 1901.
