At an early age she came with her parents to Michigan, settling in Wayne County. February 20, 1858, she was married to Donald McIntyre of Unadilla, and they settled in White Oak Twp. where they lived until the spring of 1889 when they moved to Howell. Mr. McIntyre passed away 6yrs ago. To this union 5 children were born, 3 of whom survive, Mrs. John H. Smith and Mrs. Ella King of Howell and Dr. Donald McIntyre of Montana. She was a life long member of the Methodist church having united with the church in her early girlhood. She leaves a host of friends who hold her in the highest esteem because of her devoted Christian life. During their residence in White Oak she was for some years superintendent of the M.E. She spent the past year assisting her son to locate a claim in Montana, only returning from there a short time before she was taken sick. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon.
