Funeral services for Ernest David Kisner Jr., 72, of Bruce, are at 11 a.m. Thursday in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paris Cemetery in Lafayette County.
Visitation is today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Kisner died Feb. 9, 2009, at home.
He was born March 3, 1936, in Paris, Miss., to the late E. D. and Cathay Babb Kisner.
Mr. Kisner worked many years at Big Yank in Water Valley and was a member of the Army National Guard. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris, the Masonic Lodge in Bruce, the Oddfellows, and was an avid sports fan of Ole Miss and the St. Louis Cardinals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Maynor.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Kisner of Bruce; a daughter, Pamela Albrecht of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Teresa Nichols of Vardaman; a son, David R. Kisner of Ocean Springs; three stepsons, Glenn Doss of Starkville, Davy Doss and Ernie Doss both of Bruce; a sister, Ernestine Simmons of Chicago; two brothers, John Kisner and James Kisner; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
