Charles T. Correll, 55, Soldier, died Saturday, June 29, 1996, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. He had undergone heart surgery and later suffered a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
He was born April 21, 1941, in St. George, the son of William Marion and Kathryn Griffee Correll, and attended school in Centralia. He lived in Ogallah in Trego County before he moved to the Soldier community about five years ago. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad and was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees.
He was married to Clara Morgan in September 1960. They were divorced. He was married to Linda Burns, July 22, 1978, in Wilson. She survives. An infant daughter, Cathryn Mae Correll, died September 17, 1980.
Other survivors include three sons, Charles Thomas Correll, Goff, Clinton Louis Correll, Bryson, Texas, and Craig Walden Correll, Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Carolyn Soukup, Wilson, and Crystal Marie Correll and Cheryl Ann Correll, both at home; two brothers, Gilbert Correll, Onaga, and Ralph Correll, Shawnee Mission; and four sisters, Charlene Holliday and Kay Cormier, both in Soldier, Loretta Burget, Topeka, and Tena Tannahill, Shields.
Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in Havensville Cemetery in Havensville.
