Ilion--Mrs. Jessie Jones, 77, widow of the late William Jones, died unexpectedly Friday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Edward Turner, 103 Elm Street. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Phillip and Melissa Ackler and spent most of her life on a farm near Ilion, but recently moved into the village. She was a member of the Universalist Church of Cedarville.
She leaves one son, Ray D. Jones, Utica; one grandson, Kenneth W. Jones, Cedarville; four brothers, Phillip, Columbia, Jacob, Herkimer, Judson, Mohawk, Chester, Essex, Conn.; four sisters, Mrs. Edward Turner, Ilion, Mrs. Herman Hall, Lowville, Mrs. D. Dodge, West Winfield, and Mrs. Alvin Arkler, Paines Hollow; also several nieces and nephews."
